Prince Harry Says He’ll “Always Be Part of the Royal Family” in Candid New Interview

In a recent Prince Harry royal family interview, he opened up about his enduring connection to the Royal Family, insisting his ties remain strong despite stepping back from official duties six years ago.

In a rare and candid interview with ITV News during a visit to Ukraine, the Duke of Sussex reflected on his evolving role and sense of purpose. He made it clear that, in his view, distance from royal responsibilities does not mean detachment from the institution itself.

“I will always be part of the royal family,” Harry said, reaffirming his place within the monarchy.

The Duke also challenged the label of being a “non-working royal,” suggesting he does not identify with the term. Instead, he described his current path as a continuation of the work he believes he was “born to do,” with a strong focus on humanitarian efforts and global causes.

Speaking openly, Harry touched on the pressures that come with public life. He admitted that expressing himself freely can feel difficult at times, saying he has occasionally felt “gagged” when it comes to sharing his views.

“I will always be part of the Royal Family, and I am here working doing the things that I was born to do. And I enjoy doing it.” – His Royal Highness The Prince Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex.

Beyond personal reflections, the conversation turned to wider global issues. The Duke highlighted ongoing conflicts and the growing sense of uncertainty felt by many around the world. Emphasising the need for unity, he said people are increasingly hoping for peace, urging a shift away from escalation toward resolution.

The interview offers a fresh glimpse into Harry’s mindset—one that blends personal conviction, public responsibility, and a continued connection to his royal roots.
